Growing up in Plymouth, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, was the perfect setting for René to discover her love for architecture and early exposure to the French-inspired design principals found in Art Deco and Mid-Century Modernism. She attended The Art Institute of Colorado, where she developed a strong passion for design and an entrepreneurial spirit. Living in a historic building, she asked her landlord if she could renovate her apartment in exchange for rent, and he graciously agreed! This experience ignited René's passion for interior design and solidified her determination to pursue a career in the field. She moved to the hub of architecture and design, Chicago, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the highly esteemed Illinois Institute of Art.

René's extensive experience working for prestigious brands such as Neiman Marcus, Restoration Hardware and Studio 11 Design has allowed her to develop a unique and sophisticated design aesthetic. Through her innovative approach and passion for creating unique spaces, René quickly gained recognition within the industry, attracting clients who were drawn to her ability to blend classic design elements with modern aesthetics.
